چکیده
Hall effect thrusters are yet not fully understood due to multiple open questions, among which the anomalous electron transport is most challenging. Particle-In-Cell (PIC) simulations suggested that strongly affected by small-scale instabilities can be investigated experimentally using Collective Thomson Scattering (CTS). In this paper, we perform a virtual CTS diagnostic on PIC data in order investigate these small scales and relate simulation experiments. The performed density maps from simplified 2D axial-azimuthal simulation. Analysis along channel axis showed two dominant modes at 8 3 rad mm−1. These exhibit ion-acoustic wave features appear selectively acceleration of ions when transitioning ionization zone zone. A numerical study fluctuation rate also obtained profiles compared PIC. This reveals integrates both axial azimuthal fluctuations spatial extension scattering volume. Moreover, it highlights importance good estimation volume for an accurate rate.

2 D simulations of Hall thrusters
Closed-Drift (Hall) thrusters constitute an important electric propulsion technology for certain applications requiring low thrust levels, e.g. satellite station keeping and orbit transfer (Gulczinski and Spores, 1996). The thrust in Hall thrusters is generated by ions being accelerated through an annular plasma by the electric field set up between an anode and a cathode. This electric field is...

abstract in a protocol analysis of second language writing from 20 adult english as a foreign language (efl) iranian students, this research observed how language-switching (l-s), i.e., first language use in l2 writing, was affected by l2 proficiency. switching interactively between first (l1) and second (l2) languages has been recognized as one of the salient characteristics of l2 writing....
15 صفحه اولA Two-Dimensional (z-θ) Fluid/PIC Simulation of Coaxial Hall Thrusters
This paper describes a 2-dimensional simulation of a coaxial Hall thruster that was developed in the axial-azimuthal (z θ) computational space. Most computational studies of closed-drift Hall accelerators have been in one dimension (1D) along the axial direction or in two dimensions (2D) in the axial and radial dimensions. These 1D and 2D models have had reasonable success in describing the ove...
متن کاملNovel small-angle collective Thomson scattering system.
A Thomson scattering opticals system is described with the following characteristics: (1) it allows scattering angles down to 1 mrad before collection optics interfere with beam dumping; (2) it gives excellent k resolution for angles of > or approximately 1.5 mrad; (3) it collects light from a scattering volume which can be variably positioned without optical realignment; and (4) it is compact ...
